13 pro lights problem

Hi
I’ve always had this problem when I take photos in the evening with my 13 pro.
Why do any lights get big lines like this and fade my photo?
Please tell me how to fix.
I’ve tried resetting all settings.
My husbands iPhone 8 Plus takes better photos than this. What am I doing wrong?

Welcome to iPhone Forums!
What you’re seeing is lens flare.
It’s probably caused by skin oils on the camera lenses. Use a clean tissue to clean the lenses and you should notice a significant improvement.

Are you remembering to hold the phone quite still until the exposure time finishes?
