Is there any way around the 20 mb download limit over cell data? I have a couple apps that require me go be on wifi to update them.

I wish. Hate having to tether from my iPad to download a file that's 22mb

you have to use an app like 3g un restrictor but can only be found in cydia, maybe when we see 4G on all carriers we might see a lift on the restrictions we currently have on the 3G like no facetime over 3G or files over 20mb

Ok thanks guys. Lucky for me I have a mifi card, so I'm not totally lost when I need it. Just a little funny that the mifi card pulls in the same 3G data that the phone gets:-)

Me too. I think we should be given the choice on downloading. After all we are the customers!

I understand the bandwidth but really what's wrong with making the limit 50mb. It's not like we're downloading 24/7

Agreed --- having been a customer with Verizon for the last 3 years (and having their Unlimited data) -- it's frustrating to see the limitations placed on their "unlimited" data. Not only can't we download more than X MB per session, but if we go over X GB we're threatened with being slowed down. Oh well, it's like a buffet right? You pay a restaurant $7.99 for a lunch buffet but they aren't going to let you bring 10 of your friends and just pay for 1, or stay there all day and eat breakfast/lunch/dinner. Still, I think it's pretty sad to advertise "unlimited" or 2/5/10GB and not let us use it the way we want.

Couldn't say any better

Also agree. But with unlimited data myself I use it for better reasons. Like films 😉

Jailbreak and use 3G unrestrictor. Works like a charm and u can download as large of apps or updates as u want

I think the reason that they plug the d/l size is because they dont offer unlimited data any more. This way those with capped data cant accidentally go over there 2/5/10 gb limit. Granted it would take a lot of 20 mb to get to that but still customers can't say that Verizon didn't really attempt to do anything before they started charging.

Must be just the USA then because here in the UK we are still offered unlimited data with no fair usage.
