Detroit’s North American International Auto Show kicked off on Monday. During the show The Verge was able to take a gander at General Motors upcoming 2016 Chevrolet Volt.

What makes the new Volt exciting for us Apple fans is that the car will be the first General Motors vehicle to feature CarPlay. Users running iOS 7.1 or above will be able to connect iPhones to the car and access features like Siri: Eyes Free, Maps, telephone, iOS’ music app, and iMessage, using the in-dash display.

However, the automaker didn't mention anything regarding Google's Android Auto, making us think that Apple has a bit of an upper hand. General Motors joins a long list of CarPlay partners including BMW, the Chrysler Group, Honda, Mazda, Hyundai, Jaguar, Ford, Volkswagen, and more.

Which means not many people will have it.
