Apple wasn't the only company releasing Q2 earnings today, AT&T has also released earnings and information for it's June quarter. In the past 3 months, the company has been gaining on rival Verizon with iPhone activations.
In a press release, AT&T claims to have activated 3.7 million iPhone handsets, 200,000 short of Verizon's 3.9 million. AT&T has also stated that the company sold a record number of Android devices, although a specific number was not released.
AT&T gained a whopping 1.2 million subscribers in the last 3 months, as well as noting that 88% of sales were smartphones. Finally, the company states that a third of AT&T's subscribers are now using LTE devices.
