3G network speeds

Hi All,
Ive just got my shiny new iphone 4 and using it on o2 network.
Just wandered what sort of speeds i should get with good signal strength on 3G?
I have heard that Vodaphone is a better network be be on, anyone vouch for this?

Any help appreciated
