4.2.6 ios help

i bought a jailbroken 4.2.6 it still has his # and apps, i need to do a restore to make it a new phone, however i can not get it to accept the 4.2.6 ios i have saved.
im doing the shift/restore go to file. also tried it with tiny umbrella . i get the itunes restoring iphone, then about 5 minutes later i have errors.
is it possible for me to restore it and keep the 4.2.6 ios ?

There's no way to restore 4.2.6 unless the person you bought it from saved the 4.2.6 SHSH, Apple stopped signing that firmware months ago.
