Why do I get a red dot on the green phone symbol every time I hang up a phone call I have made and when I check it nothing on answer messages?

He's talking about the red dot on the phone.app as if you have a voicemail.

Get that sometimes too, but eventually the voicemail goes through to my phone. Not sure if that's your case
