6S text sound alert off when wearing watch 3

When I wear my Apple Watch 3, I don’t get any sound alerts on my phone. If I remove watch, I start getting my usual text alert sound just as before I paired my watch. I’ve tried everything from making sure notification settings were good on phone & I’ve selected watch to mirror phone. I’ve tried custom settings in several different configurations to no avail. I’ve always gotten vibration on watch when I receive a text but no sound on either. I’m at a lose. Help please.

On your iPhone, go to Settings - Do Not Disturb, and turn it off.

If that doesn‘t help, go to Settings - General - Reset, and reset all settings. This will revert your settings back to default. You‘ll have to set up everything as preferred again afterwards.
