Absinthe 2.0.1 error help please

Hi I recently updated my iPhone 4 gsm to ios 5.1.1 9b207 and I downloaded absinthe 2.0.4 and I keep getting an error befor I even start the jailbreak this is making me frustriated here's a picture. And I did extract the files I watched two videos about it help.

If so....Then it will not work unless it is inside the absinthe-win-2.0.4 folder.

It shouldn't matter where Absinthe.exe is located, try restarting your computer, if that doesn't work try a different computer. I googled your issue and one person said that they just kept opening and closing Absinthe and on the 7th time it worked.

Yes it does. Absinthe will not work unless it's inside the Absinthe folder.

The only tool I've ever seen do that.

I alway drag the .exe to the desktop..and it alway works...but not with Absinthe.

Drag Absinthe from the folder to desktop...and eve time you open it the error message shown above will pop up.

Place it back in the Absinthe folder....works every time.....

I know why this is..and figured out how to make it work in the desktop tho.

This is because Absinthe.exe "must" be in the same exact location as the data folder located in the Absinthe folder.

The only way to make Absinthe.exe work on the desktop is to drag the "data" folder to the desktop as well.

But I thought it might be a better idea to just keep them in the Absinthe folder regardless.

Keep absinthe in the folder, I put mine on the desktop and mines kept saying my device was not supported

absinthe.exe uses .\ as it home directory for dereferencing all file I/O.

So absinthe.exe must be launched from within the folder (absinthe-win-2.0.4) that was created by the absinthe-win-2.0.4.exe installer. That is the only way for absinthe.exe to know where the data folder is since the absinthe-win-2.0.4 installer does not touch the window registry.

Yes it does. Absinthe will not work unless it's inside the Absinthe folder.

I thought the OP was talking about the initial .exe which is just a standalone application, I didn't realize you were talking about the exe that is extracted from that file

Ok I put in back in my folder and it seems the error has gone a away but will there be any errors when I click jailbreak like would there be errors during the prosse
