absinthe quit unexpectedly

hello, ive been trying to jailbreak my iphone 4s and i have a macbook, and ive downloaded absinthe from numerous places but when i try and open it it says it has quit unexpectedly has anyone got this error or know a fix for it? thanks

It worked fine on my macbook pro. Have you tried resetting the permissions on your computer? Finder-apps-utility-disk utility. If you don't know what Im speaking of.

verify disk or repair disk?

verify disk (will take a long time) and then repair (which will also take some time)
