I'm not quite deaf although my kids think so. Do any of the docks -speakers have the capability to increase the volume of the phone ringer? I may be in another room and want hear when the phone rings.

Hahaha... quite funny but I'm sure this doesn't help the OP much.
Any dock you put your phone on is going to drasically increase the sound output... thus increasing the volume of the ringer.
Are you using the stock ringer? Not sure if you have the ability, but I take some mp3 sound clips and raise the volume using a sound editing program. I raise it to just below the clipping level, then convert it to aac in iTunes then change the extension to .m4r.
