Accessory not compatible

I'm using the USB sync/charging cable that came with my iPhone and it always worked until lately now I get an error message everything I plug it in to the phone saying its not compatible with my phone. My phone is an 3GS using 5.0.1

If you have another cable try that instead

It's always meant I've killed another cabel when I get that message. Seems to be a generic/broad response to it's not working. In this case your not getting power. I've gone through A LOT of cabels and this always how it goes. I think they make them flimsy so you gotta keep buying the over priced pieces of poo. And I know there watching me, found a voice recorder disguised as a sock warmer yesterday. I know
