Activate Iphone 4 with out original SIM

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to activate iphone 4 without original sim?
i seen few sims being sold on ebay.
is there any other way to activate the phone.

You don't need the original sim. Any sim from the original carrier will do.

Jmills's option is easier if you planning on unlocking. You should be jailbreaking with redsnow anyway...
