i have restored my old iphone 4s to factory setting and now its asking for apple id and passwords. I dont remember them and have tried all sorts of combinations with no luck. What is the next step to resolving this issue?

I'm afraid you need the original Apple ID and password in order to proceed.

If you're the original owner of the iPhone and it's registered to you with Apple, they maybe able to help you. There are no guarantees but it's your only chance to get the phone working.
