Folks out of the video game loop recently probably have no idea that games like Rock Band and Guitar Hero are making a comeback. On Tuesday, Activision released Guitar Hero Live for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad on the iTunes App Store. The game can be played directly on the aforementioned devices, or folks can opt in to purchase an optional single guitar bundle for $99, or two guitar for $149.
Playing Guitar Hero on something like an iPhone or iPod Touch while using the guitar controller may not be an easy task, but it looks to work well on iPads. The game features Live mode, allowing players to rock out to real crowds, which react based on performance. And includes GHTV, where players can jam as real music videos for tracks play in the background.
Guitar Hero Live is now available in the iTunes App Store and comes with two sample tracks, with more unlocked after purchasing a bundle.
