With so many various types of PDF iOS apps doing the rounds its no surprise that according to a report on 9to5 Mac today that Adobe has launched its own iOS app called CreatePDF. The app enables you to create PDF documents on your iOS device, complete with images, links, formatting, footnotes and drawings. In the iTunes description for the app, Adobe says that the PDFs that it creates will be just as high quality as those created with Adobe Acrobat on your computer, as it actually uses the same technology as Adobe Acrobat, so I guess thats why its so expensive! According to Adobe, the universal app will also preserve transitions and convert multi-media content for PowerPoint files. The app can also be used to convert email attachments or files stored in the cloud or any application, and it supports a wide variety of file formats, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, as well as all the usual image files. I have to say, the reviews in the App Store arent great so far, but hopefully there will soon be an update to smooth out any early problems.
