Ever since Apple's acquisition of fingerprint-scanning technology firm Authentec, rumors have been flying around what the next big feature on the company's next iPhone might be. Many analyst have suggested the iPhone 5S killer feature will be a fingerprint scanner, followed by some proof in the code of iOS 7. Since then, the fingerprint scanner rumor has been all but confirmed for the iPhone 5S.
French blog Nowhereelse.fr leaked some photos today of an alleged iPhone 5S home button component, which looks to be more complex than predecessors. As seen in the photos, the Home button has quite a longer ribbon cable than the iPhone 5, and is packed with more components possibly for such a technology. While it's hard to tell what the next ribbon cable actually does, this could very well possibly be the final Home button + fingerprint scanner component.
