A few months ago news surfaced of a game called Allied Star Police which was being developed by PopCap Games’ 4th & Battery and nine-year-old Owain Weinert, as part of Owain’s involvement with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Owain, who is currently undergoing treatment for pre-b acute lymphocytic leukemia, was put in touch with 4th & Battery by the Make-A-Wish Foundation so that he could fulfil his wish of developing an iPhone game. Now, Pocket Gamer reports, the game, entitled Allied Star Police, is finally ready for release, and you’ll be able to download it for free tomorrow in the App Store.

“Our third (FREE) game is almost ready for release, it’s a special one, designed by an extraordinary person,” tweeted 4th & Battery.
The universal iOS game is a fast-paced push-of-war combat sim, where players take on the role of the A.S.P. base commander, tasked with deploying a team of automated battle vehicles and targeted ballistic ordnance, in an effort to defeat the alien Flamion invaders.

Owain is now in Long Term Maintenance, with an end-of-treatment date of May 23, 2013.
