Am I using 3g or wifi?

Hello, first time question here and new forum member. I cannot determine when I am accessing the web through ATT, or my home wifi connection. I set up my iphone 4 to see my home wifi and turned it on. The problem is that when I surf the web at home I can't tell if I am burning up ATT bandwidth, or I'm using my wifi. It there a priority (e.g., the phone uses wifi if available first and the ATT data system second)?

Look in the upper left-hand corner of your screen. If you 're using 3G it will say "AT&T 3G". If you have made a WiFi connection there will a symbol (hard to describe) instead. The number of arcs in the symbol denote signal strength.
