MacRumors reports today that Rovio has finally settled on its next game, and it looks like it will represent a big departure from Angry Birds. The game is called Amazing Alex, and is based on a previously released iOS game called Caseys Contraptions, which Rovio has just acquired. Rovio VP of franchise development, Ville Jeijari, told The Next Web that Amazing Alexs gameplay is a perfect fit in our arsenal with its approachable, fun and highly addictive take on the physics puzzler genre. Jeijari went on to tell The Next Web that Rovio is at present in the process of reworking the game in preparation for an expect the unexpected Rovio style launch. The original game, Caseys Contraptions, has now been deleted from the App Store. According to MacRumors, it was a physics-based game in which the player helped Casey to get his toys back by building crazy contraptions. Expect to see Amazing Alex in the App Store within the next two months.
