Why is it so damn hard to remove a red pin on the map???

I'm a new Iphone user, I just bought the 5s and I love it, but how do you remove a red pin from the map on the IOS 7 ?

You'd think, with all the inquires on the web, Apple would find a way to make this easier.
I would love it if it was a "long press" that brings up a "delete" option... done, to easy.

if you're talking about the red pin that appears at the location on the map corresponding to the location you entered in the search box, there's a very easy way to delete the pin, just clear the search box.
