I downloaded the app of my ISP (Brighthouse), and I can log in to it fine with my iPad. But when I tried to use the same username/password for that app on my iPhone, it rejects it. What's up with that, does anyone know?

For anyone else searching for an answer to this, I got it. The Brighthouse app which allows you to watch live TV only works on the iPad - not on smartphones, according to a Brighthouse rep I talked to yesterday.

Bright house here in the uk is a shop where you can buy household goods and pay weekly. Interest is 29.9% though...so appeals to people who don't work. Which = Scally shop lol
It was weird to read an app for bright house and it's a tv programme.

Yeah I first thought that when I read the thread.

Bright house shops and their services are awful with very high charges. Dick Turpin gave a better service !

Anyway sorry for hi jacking this thread.

Sorry about that. Here in the U.S. Brighthouse is a communications company that offers Internet, cable television and phone service. Comcast and Centurylink do the same thing for us. No doubt companies in the U.K bundle these services in the same way.

Speaking of which, does any ISP in the U.K. offer apps to stream live TV on one's iPhone?

Yes we do have similar companies that bundle it all into one.

There is an app here called "TV catchup" that streams live TV through your iPhone. Is that what you mean?

The website is alot better, streaming is so clear and crisp, but app is just slow and drains alot more juice in the battery

I tend to use SkyGo to watch programmes

Also bbc iplayer and itv player too.

These UK apps must be country-specific, as I can't find them in an App search on my iPhone here.

Sky Go is probably Uk only and I use it all the time. You also have to be subscribed to "sky" it's brilliant though I must admit. Especially when out shopping with the mrs and your watching sky sports and she looks over and asks "How do I look in this" and you look up from watching the football and nod lol

TV catch up I think is also just the UK
