Anyone still have an AllTel plan?

I still have an AllTel plan with the smartpck and was told by a store rep that I could keep my plan. I was not confident in this guy's competence level and am trying to find out if this plan will be compatable with the iPhone and give me unlimited data. It will cost me about $20 less a month if so. Anyone know?

I still have an Alltel plan also, and have been told the same thing by Verizon.
In fact, they told me that my plan would stay in effect unless/until I decide to change it.

your plan will stay active unless you switch to a vzw plan. My problem with this when I had verizon was the PRL is different. The PRL determines which cell towers you can access. If you have good service now, its a win win for you. If you miss or drop calls, your screwed unless you switch away from your alltel plan and get a vzw plan. YOU WILL PAY MORE AND GET LESS!
