Engadget reports today that it has received photos from uBreakiFix of what is claimed to be the next iPhones casing. Engadget says that the source is normally a very reliable one. The casings seem to reveal that the next iPhone is taller than the iPhone 4S. Also, it would appear that as has been rumoured, the next iPhone has an aluminum back, with some other sort of clear material at either end of the phone. The photos also seem to confirm another recent rumour that said that Apple was planning to use smaller dock connectors in its iPhones. The headphone jack has also been moved. Very exciting, and authentic looking stuff! Engadget points out that these could still be elaborate fakes, of course, but as they note, 9to5 Mac has also just been sent similar photos of supposed iPhone casings with a black trim, so its quite likely that the photos and the parts are genuine.
