Today Apple announced that Chief Financial Officer Luca Maestri will be stepping down from his position on December 31st, 2024. Maestri will be succeeded by Apple Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis, Kevan Parekh. Maestri is not leaving Apple, instead transitioning to the leader of the Apple Corporate Services team. This specialized team includes information systems and technology, information security, and real estate development.

Luca Maestri took on the role of CFO in 2014 and will be stepping down just over 10 years later. He played a significant role in Apple's rise to financial prominence over the past decade. Under Maestri and Apple CEO Tim Cook, Apple has held the title of the world's most valuable company multiple times.

Kevan Parekh has been with Apple for 11 years, overseeing the company’s financial planning and analysis, investor relations, market research, and the G&A and benefits finance teams. Before joining Apple, he held positions at Thomson Reuters and General Motors. Starting January 1, 2025, he will succeed Maestri in handling earnings calls and similar events.
