Spotted on Twitter by user Chase Fromm on Tuesday, string of code indicated that Apple might be looking into adding ultra-fast wireless data technology to iOS under the moniker 'Li-Fi'. While code strings have just begun to appear in iOS 9.1, Apple filed a patented for the technology back in 2013. Li-Fi is a light based technology, which can theoretically bring speeds of up to 224 gigabits a second, whereas the current 802.11ac Wi-Fi caps out at a few gigs.
