Apple didn't discuss AppleCare+ pricing during the introduction of the new iPhone 6s and 6 Plus, but that was probably because the company was intending to raise prices.
Apple announced the new pricing for the service on its website - AppleCare+ for both new iPhones is $129.99 while its service fee is $99.99. This is an increase from the pricing for iPhone 6 and earlier models, which were usually priced at $99.99 for AppleCare+ and $79.99 for the service fee.
The new technology in the new devices, such as a larger Taptic Engine and the brand new 3D Touch, could be the culprit for the increase of the pricing.
