The next big Apple iPhone reveal is in just a few hours, so we decided here at HQ that it would be cool to share a breakdown roundup of the rumored specs and features of the next-gen iPhone 5S. Here's a quick-list of everything that has been potentially "spoiled" thus far:
- Fingerprint scanner - possibly built inside a new "sapphire" home key (sapphire will supposedly be more secure - it also happens to be tougher than glass)
- Apple A7 chip with 1GB of RAM - dual-core 32nm chip made by Samsung using the Higk-K Metal Gate technology - higher clock speed of 1.5GHz - quad-core PowerVR SGX 544MP4 graphics - 1GB amount of LPDDR3-1333 RAM - higher memory bandwidth from 8.5GB/s to 10.7GB/s.
- 12-megapixel camera with dual LED flash - wider f/2.0 aperture for better low-light performance - built-in improved HDR shooting modes - 2-megapixel shooter for the front which is an upgrade over the 1.2MP currently
- Gold/champagne colored casing option as well as the white and black
- Potentially a 128GB storage version as well as the usual 32GB and 64GB versions
- NFC - Near-field communications - this one has been rumored for the last two iPhones, so we are really expecting it this time
