According to Altek's CEO Xiaru Wen, Apple has apparently been experimenting with dual-camera lenses for the iPhone. The report claims that the technology hasn't made it to a public iOS device because Apple seems to be having a problem with blurred images, as well as the inability to find a manufacturer for so many components.
Although things might have changed after Apple acquired Israeli company LinX Imaging back in April. The $20 million acquisition amounted to the blurred image problem being resolved. But wait, there's more...
The report goes on to say that Apple may be looking at manufacturer Largan to fill the dual-camera orders. Largan is said to have secured nearly 80 percent of all iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus camera orders for the Fall.
No word on whether we might see a dual-camera system on the 2015 iPhone models. But if all is well and true, we'll be sure to see more hints towards such a feature with the iPhone 7.
