Apple's September 9th iPhone event is only a week away. Since last year, there have been numerous sources claiming that Apple would be unveiling the mythical iWatch at this year's event. However, recent reports from trustworthy site Re/code, claim that Apple will be holding off on the device until early 2015.

It seems on Tuesday, Digitimes has hopped on this bandwagon, also claiming that Apple will begin shipping the iWatch in 2015, and not this year. The publication does claim that Apple's iWatch has reached the "engineering verification test" (EVT) stage. Digitimes writes that sources close to the matter state that the device must also undergo production verification testing (PVT) as well.

It's no surprise that we won't be seeing an iWatch this year, as we haven't seen a single component leak for the device as of yet. If the iWatch is set for an early 2015 release, we'll know once we start seeing leaked parts from the production line show up around the web.
