In June, we saw that Apple added Tokyo and Zion National Park to its 3D Flyover feature in the Maps app. Apple first introduced Flyover in iOS 6, allowing folks to view 3D models of cities around the world for navigation or a just merely cheap vacation.
Currently Flyover supports 90 different locations, mostly in major cities, and Apple is still working on adding more and more over time. Today it seems the fruit company added Yosemite National Park and Wellington New Zealand. The 3D mapping in Apple Maps is pretty spot on accurate, so those who may be planning a trip could sort of visualize where they would like to go.
Folks can simply search those areas now in Apple Maps, enable to Flyover feature, and view the beautifully mapped 3D textures. Apple is expected to bring even more Maps features with the iOS 8 update this Fall. These features include more Flyover locations and the popular transit directions.
