Spotted by MacRumors, Apple has reduced the price of its entry-level iPads across Europe. However, the device will no longer include a USB-C Wall Adapter in the box.

Previously, Apple’s most affordable iPad, the 10th Gen iPad, came with a USB-C charger in Europe. Starting with the debut of the new iPad mini 7, Apple has aligned its iPad offerings by removing the charger from the box across the entire iPad lineup in Europe. Now, when you purchase an iPad, iPad Air, iPad Mini, or iPad Pro in Europe, you’ll only find a USB-C cable in the box.

This move is part of a broader trend by Apple, which began with removing chargers from iPhone boxes back in 2020, and now applies to iPads as well. The company is likely responding to EU regulations aimed at reducing electronic waste, though it has also made the same change in the United Kingdom which is not part of the EU.

Along with the removal of the charger, Apple has lowered the price of the entry-level iPad in many European countries. In regions like France and Germany, the iPad’s price has dropped from €439 to €409. In the UK, the price was reduced from £349 to £329.

For those in the United States, nothing has changed – the iPad still comes with a 20W USB-C charger, and the price remains the same.

While some may be disappointed by the removal of the charger the price reduction does provide some compensation. This makes Apple’s budget-friendly iPad even more affordable for consumers across Europe.
