A few days ago we shared several torture test videos which aimed to see just how tough the new Apple Watch really is. While we applaud these brave/rich folks for doing what we would not dare in the name of "science/entertainment," these latest three videos have us scratching our heads. We wonder if there is such a thing as going too far when torturing new tech gadgets.
While we can see the relative value in running the Apple Watch through a gauntlet of tests which it might actually face in a real-world environment, this latest series of videos we found simply want to destroy the gadget. Perhaps there is some entertainment value to be had, and we must admit that despite our reservations we were still fascinated enough to watch these videos. Because of that we figured we would share them and find out what you guys think of these Apple Watch extreme torture videos.
One dips the Apple Watch in liquid nitrogen and then takes a sledge hammer to it; the second subjects it to a hydrogen explosion; the third simply shoots it with a .50 caliber rifle. Obviously we already know the outcome of each of these tests, so there is little in the way of surprise. Of course, it is all in the name of fun, so perhaps it's harmless (except for the poor destroyed Apple Watches!)
Sound off with your perspective on extreme gadget torture videos. (The first video is shown above and the other two are in the thread below.
