I bought my first smart watch when the original Moto 360 came out back in 2014 or so. It was awesome, but I couldn't make it halfway through the day on a full charge. Two years later, a free months back, I bought a Pebble Time. At this point, I owned an iPhone. Guess what happened next. Yes, Pebble took a horrible deal from FitBit. I still have the watch because it is hard to get rid of for nostalgia reasons.
Finally, at Christmas 2016, my wife tells me I am never going to be happy with a smart watch until I get an Apple Watch. She heard me admiring the ones my friends bought. So, I did it. It was more expensive than the other watches, but not much more than the Moto 360. I love it. This is my favorite gadget ever, since the smart phone. My battery lasts all day with plenty to spare at bedtime.
