According to a fresh report coming from GforGame, it seems that Apple is working with South Korean firms LG and Samsung in order to produce thinner OLED displays for the Apple Watch 2. This would allow the smartwatch to accommodate a larger battery.
As for the external design of the next-generation Apple Watch, this is believed to remain the same. Right now we don't know when Apple is planning to release its next wearable, but it's most likely going to happen somewhere in the spring of next year.
Thus, if this report is true, then the display of the next-gen Apple Watch will be identical in terms of screen size and resolution, which means it won't be getting a round display, as some were hoping. However, it will get a more capacious battery, which should dramatically improve its lifespan.
The Apple Watch recently launched in Italy, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland and Taiwan on June 26, and will come to The Netherlands, Sweden, and Thailand on July 17.
