As much as certain politicians and powers that be all over the world love to criticise gamers and the gaming community, its undeniable that the worldwide gaming and app development community, with its close ties to Japan, has been going out of its way to find ways to help the Japan earthquake relief effort. I've been trying to let you know about some of them here, and today I discovered another one, via Tiny Wings creator Andreas Illiger's Twitter, called AppsJP, which encourages you to follow, retweet and DM either @AppsJP or @IPhoneGamerUK to get free codes for major games such as Cover Orange, Tiny Wings, N.O.V.A 2 and many more. There's a whole long list of them and they're added to every day by the looks of it. Followers will be picked at random and given free game codes, and in return, AppsJP suggests that you donate some money or help the relief effort in some other way. You cant choose what game code you want, if youre lucky enough to win theyll send you something at random, and its your choice whether or not you want to donate to the cause in return for the code, although as they say on the site, you can take advantage of us if you want to, but we are asking for your self conscience.
