AT&T 2 G plan?

If you have the 2G data plan with AT&T and you upgrade your phone to the 5 when it comes out can you keep the 2G data or will they require you to change to one of the new tiers?

No.

You will keep the 2GB data plan. Your data plan is only compromised when upgrading when you have unlimited data.

I have the unlimited plan for my iPhone , and the cant change it without my permission.

I just upgraded to 5 and my grandfathered unlimited plan was untouched. The only time you would have to change plans is if you want to access FaceTime over data. Then you would have to convert to one of their sharing plans.
