AT&T Vice President Says iPhone 5 Coming in Early October

It is starting to look more and more likely, if not almost certain, that the next iPhone will be released in early October, possibly October 7, which was the date mentioned in a recent story from TiPb. The latest apparent confirmation of this timescale comes via an AT&T vice president, who, according to Boy Genius Report’s “high level” sources, has told some of his employees at AT&T to expect an iPhone 5 launch in early October. Apparently the VP even went so far as to tell some AT&T managers to expect “things to get really, really busy in the next 35-50 days”, and that they should prepare their teams to deal with an exceptionally busy period. This could point to Apple announcing the new phone in September, although Kara Swisher and John Paczkowski at AllThingsD have both said that the launch event will be in October, and they are very definite about that.
