Back up?

If I do back up in iTunes and restore from this back up, will I get the photos back, contacts and what else will I get from this back up? I'm about to jailbreak, thanks

I have a question:While backing up,should we click onto "Info" section and click "sync contacts with..." to be able to backup contacts or is synchronization and backing up are different things?
Does just clicking on File->Devices-Backup backup everything from Iphone or are there some other settings we should choose to be able to backup everything?

On iTunes 11, open up your device's profile, and click Backup and tick To Computer. This'll backup your data. Or your method would work as well
