Backing up Questions

So for my iPhone and iPod, should I have it where it backs up to my iTunes or iCloud?

In the even that my computer hardrive is fried, and I have to re-install everything, including iTunes, if everything is backed up to iCloud (the iPod and iPhone) would this make so that I do not lose any music/photos/or settings on my iPod or iPhone?

You get 5gb free of space in iCloud, so is that enough? You can buy more.

While apps do not count against your storage, be aware music and films NOT purchased through the app store require a further payment per year.

That said, any restore via any cloud service is going to be far slower than from either your hard drive, external usb drive or Network Attached Storage (NAS) and less secure.
