backup itunes purchased songs

can someone teach this dumb iphone user

how do i do a backup or copy/paste to hard drive all the songs existing in my iphone which most of them i purchased online at itunes?

when i try to synch with itunes program it says it will delete all of them and paste the library of my computer !!!!!!!!!! ARGHHHHHH dont you dare!!!

Authorise you iTunes account on your computer and it will let you sync your purchases back to it. It's under the store tab at the top...

Let us know how your synching turns out. I'm in the (slow) process of filling my iPhone with music, but fear the beast that is iTunes!
