Battery Case Problem

We recently bought and received the pictured battery case from Amazon for our iPhone 7+. Unfortunately, the instructions are not specific, and when we tried to insert the phone, we couldn’t push it in all the way or, subsequently, remove it.
Does anyone here have this battery case? If so, how can we resolve this problem? Neither Amazon nor Gixvdcu Direct (the manufacturer) have responded to our inquiry.
