Do you have anything running?

Do apps that appear when you double tap the home button use much battery? Is it best to close them?

It could be some notification you have cut on, or whatever you have your mail app set to. I used to have mine on fetch every 15 min. I swapped to every hour and it helped my battery out quite a bit.

I could have apps running. But how do i close dem. Its not no mail fetching or notifications. Sum else

Double tap the home button and you should see your multitasking dock. Hold your finger over the icon until it starts to wiggle. Hit the red close button on the icon and that should close it

That green app with the arrow is called download pro. It's available in the app store. Lol.

I closed All my running applications... I had alot of dem too. But the battery still drops. Dis fone is mayb 4 months old & i neva used anythimg other than the Apple charger.

This happened to my iPod when I first had it. It was something with the new firmware and how the WiFi drained the battery. You can always try turning off WiFi to see what that does. Also, you can actually buy an external battery if you think yours is faulty.

Mostly the battery finishes because of running of those applications that are not in use.

I dont think my battery does that. Although I have a white ip4 (meaning mine isn't as old as yours) so it might take a while before I experience those problems.. But this is first I've heard of this...Maybe you can swap it out at an Apple store..? Bad battery?

It's best to close apps. You may also want to turn off location, turn push to manual, turn auto bright on and reduce the brightness below 50%. It's also good to turn notifications off (well at least on the apps that you don't use as much). Oh yeah once a month Power cycle your phone meaning kill the battery and charge it back to 100% hope that helps

It also helps if you charge your phone from mains instead of computer.

Thanks guys 4 d help. I did all of wat u said except turning wifi off. So ill give dat a try

1. Turn Off Wi-Fi
2. Turn Off Location Services
3. Close all apps
4. Every re-charge, wait for full re-charge.. (charging icon turns from a lightning icon to plug icon), never use in middle
5. Don't charge often, let the battery go down to < 20%
6. Don't charge for a long period, unplug after full charge (#4 above)

All the best!

Great recommendation! This solved the problem I had and kept my battery going for awhile.

Wow. That's exactly what suggested without the numbered lines and 5 and 6
