Battery issues

Hi. I'm new here. From india. Have been with IPhone since 2007. Just got my hands on the iPhone 4s. Upgraded it to ios 5.0.1 with the hope that the battery problems would be resolved. Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the case. I just don't know how to get the battery to last longer than it does right now. I never had these issues with the iPhone 4 though. Would appreciate the help guys!
