Battery life

So I have the 4s and I'm a truck driver tractor-trailer I use the phone a lot. Web email you name it I use it gPS to find places sometimes and I'm charging my phone up to three times a day granted I'm working between 12 to 14 hours a day. But it just seems excessive

You can buy cases that have batteries built in but that is about it.

I would suggest you simply keep the phone plugged in while you are driving. GPS and 3G data will eat the battery very quickly. And if you have the screen brightness turned up to overcome any washout from the sun, I doubt you battery will last more than 4 to 5 hours.

As long as you keep your cab cool (below 78 F) and the iPhone out of direct sunlight, you won't bother it at all.

I also need to be on Bluetooth all the time us cdl truck drivers seen not using hands free it's a 2700 fine

Bluetooth doesn't draw that much power so you shouldn't have any issues still.

About the only thing you have to worry about is letting the phone get above 110 F and your phone charger not supplying enough power to over come the power draw of the GPS, screen and 3G. You will know by the end of the day if your charger might need to be replaced with a better version.

leaving it plugged in charging is better than using it and making thebattery drain quickly and then charging it again.

look into the morphie juice pack plus case. adds about double the battery life.

That is really terrible with three times charging one day. I can imagine your anxiety beacause mine can insist three times than yours,lol. The person above said taking a battery-cover,which I consider is a good solution. you can buy these covers like this anywhere. It is just a thicker cover and won't make you feel any uncomfortable with handling that.
Actually I want to say: "The battery sucks."

Smart phones use a lot of battery power. Plain and simple.

From what I hear, the iPhone has great battery life when compared to other smart phones. My friends Windows phone 7 gets 6 hours til it dies............And no, not 6 hours Usage..................Just 6 hours, and less with heavy usage.

I can have at least 10-15% after about 8-9 hours Usage.

My battery seems to drain about 10% for every 1.5 hours Usage (not stand by). heavy usage. Some day it is like randomly worse then that for some reason, but most of the time it is pretty good.

When i first got my iPhone i thought my battery life was so bad it pissed me off, until i realized that my iPhone had the best battery life out of my friends Droids, and Windows Phones.lol. It was then I realized that..............Well.......Smart Phones do so much of coarse the battery is not gonna last as long as any other phone, that is not a smart phone.lol. It just does more. Also uses less data then Android phones too.........So I have read lately.

yeah i also use a epic 4g and it sucks at battery life!
