Beluga Dilemma

Hi! I had the beluga app installed on my iPad that my work supplied for me this summer! However, I had to give the iPad up, and now I want to use Beluga on my phone. I do not have a smart phone though so I would have to use just the text messaging on my phone. I am not recieving anything that my friends have sent me because it is still being sent to my iPad and not my current phone number! Help!
