The popup is sometimes appearing as a normal message box, is this normal or how do I fix it? Oh and my phone is an iphone 4s

If you're talking about the little window that pops up when you get a message where you can answer or close it or call the person and such, then that's normal. You can turn that feature off as well.

Yes the pop up box is apearing in the old style, not the bitesms box

When you first get a message, it will show the BiteSMS quickreply window. If you let it sit, that window will eventually go away and you will be left with the default notification style. There's nothing you can do about that.
