Bluetooth on 3G

I have recently had difficulty with iPhone NOT connecting automatically to Bluetooth in car. I can connect by deleting the entry and re-establishing the connection but next time the connection fails. Other phones don't have this problem. Can someone please suggest what to do? Thanks.

Is it a after market car kit installed or a factory fit bluetooth car kit..?

It is a factory fitted blutooth and has worked well with the iPhone and others for the past 2+ years. Just recently the iPhone does not connect automatically.
