bookmarks missing

hello forum, i need some help in the bookmarks section of my iphone 4

i can no longer see my bookmarks, i was trying to save folders in my bookmarks section now i am stuck in one of the folders and cant get back to the first folder.

i have tried restoring my phone to it original settings which then allows me to use the bookmarks, however when i restore again from a backup they are gone (i knew this would happen but thought it might be worth a try)

any thoughts??
