MacRumors reports on stories on TouchArcade, GameSpot and GameInformer, which all say that Halo developer Bungie has been working on a mobile game under the umbrella of the Bungie Aerospace company name. It has apparently filed a trademark for a game called Crimson, which is described as for use on mobile and cellular phones. According to GameSpot, Bungie writer and designer Joseph Staten mentioned the new game at GDC 2010, saying wouldnt it be great if we could make a world that was always there for you, with lots of stories to tell, like a big, infinite storytelling horizon? Man, that would be great.
MacRumors notes that Bungie making an iOS game is not too hard to imagine, as Bungie originally developed for Mac, and made the FPS game, Marathon. Also, Bungie is no longer a Microsoft company, having left Microsoft in 2007. Of course the iPhone, iPad and iOS are not mentioned by name, but clearly they would be one of the main platforms for any Bungie mobile game.
